The College of Idaho
As the Photo and Video Specialist on the Marketing and Communications team at The College of Idaho, I have exceeded the varying photo and video needs of the college including commercials, promotional videos, college tour videos, interviews, and motion graphics. While in my position I have exceeded the traditional job description for my position and brought systematized improvements to my team, including making our workflows collaborative, organized and efficient. I have help upgrade our equipment and digital media branding assets and templates. By creating logical and intuitive file systems it allows our team to be more collaborative and productive.
As a video editor at the College, I have worked in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Media Encoder on a daily basis. I have expanded our departments video production capabilities vastly with my skillset. I have taken on the shooting of commercials and promos which were historically hired out but because of my advanced skill set, we were able to produce in house. I have created motion graphic templates, photo management systems, and media management processes to maximize the quality and quantity of our teams media abilities. I have expanded the scope of my position by taking on motion graphics projects and commercials that were typically hired out. My experience at the College has developed my skills in cinematography and video editing in a feedback rich environment.
I have also been nominated for the college’s leadership development program, which I am currently a member of.

Editor
During my time at RETO, I edited photos and videos for both real estate and non-profit clients in a fast-paced environment, focused on efficiency, accuracy, and consistency. The average turn-around time for most real estate video edits was 24 hours. As an editor, I worked both independently and with teams to produce creative projects under tight deadlines with high attention to detail. I also worked on our larger sets as a grip and on-set photographer. This experience developed my skills as a professional video editor and deepened my passion for creativity and collaboration in video production.

While attending college I served as a freelance photographer for the college, working directly with the Communications Manager. I photographed college events and student life, producing media for the college and seminary communications and marketing. I produced thousands of professional images to meet a wide range of requirements and met deadlines for creative projects. I shot over 100 events, including conferences, guest speakers, graduations, and student life events.

Photographer and Videographer
Since 2016 I have shot weddings and engagements, as well as freelance adventure photography. My portfolio reflects a wide variety of experiences I have walked through on my creative journey, capturing stories of everything from film sets to my thousand-mile hike from Canada to California. I’ve worked internationally in Central Asia with the nomadic peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. I edited a music video for my church and produced a promotional video for a local business. I have served as the lead photographer for weddings, engagements, senior, family, maternity, and infant portraits, as well as the staff photographer for Worldview Academy Leadership Camps in five states. I like variety and trying new things. My freelance career has been an outlet for exploration and expression of my passions and reflects my aptitude for learning new skills, tools, and media.
